I believe that the first years of a child’s life are critical to the development of a positive, self-confident, capable learner. My program integrates each child’s needs, interests, and abilities and focuses on the whole child. The daily program addresses all of a child’s development including cognitive, social, emotional, cultural and physical development. I strive to offer a stimulating yet safe environment that encourages learning. Our day revolves around a balance of active and quiet activities, taking into consideration the developmental needs and schedules of each child. All children are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of pursuits depending on their age including dramatic play, music and movement, arts and crafts, story time and language arts, math and science activities, and large and small muscle activities. Daily Reports are posted on the bulletin board.
Some of the benefits that your child will receive include:
· Individualized attention
· Pre-school curriculum including Kindergarten Readiness Skills
· Nutritious meals
· Warm & Loving home atmosphere
· Fenced in outside play area
· Computer with age-appropriate software
I serve a healthy breakfast, a well-balanced lunch and an afternoon snack daily. I participate in the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program), a federal program that provides healthy meals and snacks to children receiving child care. Through this program I am required to serve nutritious meals that meet USDA requirements. In meeting these requirements, I provide a monthly menu so that you, the parent, will know what meals I am providing for your child.
Our classroom enters directly from the playground. It is designed with developmental centers for your child to explore. Our yard is fenced in and features many fun opportunities for the children. Outdoor toys are stored in the shed when not in use.
